Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 12, 2026 • Last Updated: July 15, 2026
Teaneck Hand Car Wash (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a family-owned business located at 1172 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information when you visit teaneckcarwash.com.
1. Information We Collect
This website is informational only. It has no sign-up, booking, or payment forms, and we do not collect personal information through this website. We do not process payments through this website, and we do not add our own analytics, tracking pixels, or behavioral advertising technology.
To display our pages and customer reviews, this website loads content from a few third-party providers (see “Third-Party Content and Server Logs” below). When your browser loads that content, those providers may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type. We do not control or receive that information.
If you choose to contact us by phone or visit us in person, you may share information such as your name, phone number, and vehicle details so we can help you. That information is provided directly to us and is handled as described below.
2. How We Use Your Information
If you contact us by phone or in person, we use the information you share solely to:
- Respond to your questions or requests
- Schedule and provide the services you ask for
- Manage your membership or service account, if you have one
We do not use your information for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell your data to any third party.
3. How Your Information Is Stored
Our website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (netlify.com). Because the site has no online forms, no personal information is submitted through or stored by the website. Any customer information we keep—such as membership or service records—is maintained through our in-store business and point-of-sale systems, not collected through this website. We do not transfer, share, or sell your personal information to any third party.
4. Third-Party Content and Server Logs
Like most websites, our host, Netlify, Inc. (netlify.com), automatically records standard technical log data (such as IP address, date and time, and browser type) for security and reliability. Netlify’s privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.
To style our pages we load fonts from Google Fonts (Google LLC), and to show our customer reviews on the homepage we use a widget from Elfsight that displays our Google reviews. When your browser loads these items, Google and Elfsight may receive technical data such as your IP address and browser type, and the reviews widget may set a cookie. We do not receive this information and do not use it to identify you. For details, see Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and Elfsight’s Privacy Policy (elfsight.com/privacy-policy).
5. Calls and Text Messages (TCPA Notice)
If you give us your phone number (by phone or in person) and agree to be contacted, you may receive calls and/or text messages from Teaneck Hand Car Wash at the number you provide. We send two kinds of messages: (1) service messages about your membership, appointment, or account, and (2) occasional promotional messages, which we send only if you have agreed to receive them. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any text message from us (or HELP for help)
- Calling us at 201-862-9874 to request removal
Opting out of promotional messages will not stop essential service or account messages related to a membership you hold.
6. Email Communications (CAN-SPAM)
If we contact you by email, every commercial email will include our business name, our physical mailing address, and a clear way to opt out. If you opt out, we will stop sending promotional email to that address within 10 business days, and the opt-out method will remain available for at least 30 days after each message. We do not send unsolicited commercial email, and we do not sell your email address. To stop receiving email, use the opt-out link, reply to any email, or call 201-862-9874.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your membership is active, or as needed to respond to your inquiry or to meet a legal or tax obligation. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us using the information in “Contact Us” below.
8. Your Privacy Rights
New Jersey’s comprehensive privacy law, the New Jersey Data Privacy Act (NJDPA), N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.4 et seq., applies only to larger organizations that meet specific thresholds, and it does not legally apply to a business of our size. Even so, as a courtesy we will honor reasonable requests from any customer to:
- Know what information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information (unless we must keep it to provide an active membership or to meet a legal or tax obligation)
- Stop contacting you for marketing purposes
To make a request, contact us using the details in “Contact Us” below. We will respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable time and do not charge a fee for routine requests. Because we only keep records you give us in person or by phone, we may need to verify your identity before acting.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10. Security
We keep the limited customer information we collect (such as membership and service records) in our in-store business and point-of-sale systems, and we use reasonable measures to protect it. No website, system, or method of storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Links to Other Websites
Our website may link to third-party sites, such as Google Maps for directions. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the date of any revisions. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
